@WesleyLowery “Folks unbothered that Darren Wilson never filed a police report on Michael Brown shooting now demanding DNA analysis of campus poop swastika”. In contemporary social discussions, two wrongs equal one right. If you can’t say anything good, you talk about the way your people are treated in the media. The comment by @WesleyLowery is a good place to get started.

About this time a year ago, the grand jury was announcing that they were going to make an announcement on the Darren Wilson/Micheal Brown affair. A lot of people did not know that a police report was not filed. Ferguson police turned the matter over to St. Lous County authorities, and decided not to file a report. There were many reports in the weeks to follow.

It is tough to see a connection between Darren Wilson and a poop swastica. It is tough to see a connection between a Nazi symbol, drawn with (presumably) human waste, and much of anything. The school’s interior design department has some wacky students. How this justifies the football team going on strike, which leads to the President of the school resigning, is a mystery.

The other incidents that led to the football strike involved the n-word. Supposedly, the racial slur was shouted at people on campus. One of the people was student body President Payton Head, who made an incendiary post on facebook. The post had the intended effect of firing up the campus.

After the school President resigned, someone posted on “yik-yak” the following message. “I’m going to stand my ground tomorrow and shoot every black person I see.” The digital community spread the message far and wide. Payton Head made a facebook comment:”Students please take precaution. Stay away from the windows in residence halls. The KKK has been confirmed to be sighted on campus,” Mr. Head later admitted that this was not true. Some observers wonder if Payton Head was telling the truth about the earlier n-word incident.

Meanwhile, the ether has been ablaze. The authorities asked people to report incidents of hurtful speech. Twitter is twinkling tweets in a twisted sisterhood of 140 character affirmations. @Charleeea #Mizzou black students need to stop protesting and start killing. The white supremacy made it clear they aint hearing it.” This account is now private. The same user made a comment on another platform. @Charleeea” I may be over my baby dad but I took many lessons with me on the way out. Game good ova here”

This post is not going to try and make sense out of what is happening. If you expect a slack blogger to explain social justice jihad, then you are in worse shape that Melissa Click. The facially challenged professor was at the center of a sideshow controversiy this week. Dr.Click wrote her Phd dissertation, at from the University of Massachusetts Amherst, about the “commodification of femininity, affluence and whiteness in the Martha Stewart phenomenon.” In the meantime, here are a few comments from twitter. The “official” data dump on the KKK has hit the ether. Anonymous promised the material at 10 am CST Thursday. It was five and one half hours late, which led to speculation that @Operation_KKK’s #OpKKK Exposed: ‘Anonymous’ was Geraldo the Whole Time!.

In any event, it is here, and less sensational than the widely discredited politician breakdown earlier this week. There are some who still believe that the earlier data dump was real. Some people are very gullible when it comes to fighting racism. Anonymous does not help by including a famous grand dragon, Calvin Craig, who died in 1998. Louisiana celebrity David Duke is also on the list.

The information on the list seems to have been collected through common sense browsing. Many of the facebook peeps shown seem to be proud of being idiots. Others outed themselves in chat rooms and forums. As the report says, “You never know who you are talking to on the internet”.

PG has been clicking on some of the facebook pages. Some of them are amusing. Here are a few highlights. This digest will continue until it gets too long, which probably won’t take too long. (One hour later) This is not that much fun. The names are in alphabetical first name order. After going through the J names, these are the only text items. There are dozens of memes, many of which feature stars and bars, Jesus, Obama, expressions of white pride, and paranoia. It can be discouraging. If you want to look for yourself, there is a link above to the report.

woman Baby I love this picture of you you’re so sexy… man Lmwao woman Not funny!! And before you ask… No baby I have not smoked crack today! Lmmfao *wink emoticon* man Crack head. woman I am not!! man Lmwao

Arianna Wolfe I try to give some ppl the benefit of a doubt when I accept friend requests….. but when I look at what your about I see a lot of men are not true aryan but just womanizing druggies or drunks that act so much like our enemy’s that all that separates you from them is skin color

Chase N Graceland (from report) Buford Forest AKA Don Hall AKA Chase N Graceland East Coast Knights Elvis Impersonator (lulz) Says he does not have enough money to pay his klan dues so he is not a member (In the klan, you pay up or youre not a member) However, he may be a member of Confederate White Knights (out of Maryland) Interesting Fact: 3 or 4 different Elvis impersonators have tried to join the klan. Creepy.

Are My Attitudes About Race Any Of Your Business?

Posted in Library of Congress, Race by chamblee54 on November 4, 2015

PG was living his life when see saw something on facebook:
“And another thing: if you are going to claim NOT to be racist, I feel like you should familiarize yourself with some contemporary writings and definitions of racism, not just what Mirriam Webster says.” The first reaction was to ignore this. If you reply to a comment about racism on facebook, you are asking for trouble. Life is too short to be wasting time on such unpleasantness.
But the thought engine had been kickstarted, and continued to idle in the background. When PG pulled into the Kroger parking lot, the idea hit full force. Maybe whether you are, or are not, a racist, is no one else’s business.

Some people say that a PWOC is not affected by racism. If this is the case, then why should the racial attitudes of a PWOC affect another PWOC? If a person treats you fairly, do you really need to know this person’s attitudes about race?

The fbf ex-fbf does not say what the context of this claim is. Did anyone ask you whether or not you were a racist? If not, are you assuming that they are interested? Maybe someone assumed the listener was interested. Maybe the proper response to look bored, and say TMI.

PG was filling out a profile once, and was using some questioned borrowed from another blog profile. One of the questions was, are you a racist?
“It depends on who is doing the judging”.
The comment mentioned “contemporary writings and definitions of racism”. Who are the people who set themselves up as arbiters about what we should think about race? What are the qualifications? Who asked them what they thought? How do we know that these people are dependable?.

Maybe the answer is to show compassion and kindness to your neighbor, and don’t judge them about their racial attitudes. If you are proud of your racial attitudes, please refrain from boasting. Not everyone is interested. This is a repost. Pictures are from The Library of Congress.

PG was minding his business when he stumbled onto a tweet. @neonflag This number on Anonymous’ KKK data dump jumped out at me: 770-499-4633. That’s the Cobb County Sheriff. #gapol. While the Cobb County Sheriff is not beyond suspicion, it seemed odd to think of a government office as being a KKK member.

There had been rumors. Anonymous was going to release the names of KKK members. The people wearing Guy Fawkes masks were going to expose the people wearing bedsheet hoods. Twitter nation was abuzz with excitement…lets expose the racists. PG was concerned about collateral damage, about innocent people being dragged into the mess. And now it was happening.

They’re publishing their data there. In addition to the phone numbers, there were email addresses, many with .ru addresses. There was also a list of politicians. There were lurid articles, like Racists Panic As Anonymous Starts Releasing Details Of KKK Members.

Included on this list was Georgia Senator Johnny Isakson. A conservative Republican that many would not want to defend, Sen. Isakson had been in real estate before he ran for election. This is an image conscious business, that would not lend itself to bedsheet wearing. Nonetheless, facebook was soon crowded with people calling for the resignation of Senator Isakson.

Before long, common sense began to creep in. If You Really Think Four Republican Senators Are in the KKK, You’re a Fool. Relax: #OpKKK Did Not Release Info Linking Elected Officials To The KKK. One division of the hydra headed anonymous tried to back away from another. @Operation_KKK
This account has NOT YET released any information. We believe in due diligence and will NOT recklessly involve innocent individuals #OpKKK .

Several questions remain. How will we know who to believe? Was the preliminary *data dump* a false flag operation, designed to damage anonymous credibility? Why are they worried about the KKK? Is genuine evil flourishing while America chases bedsheets?

Despite it’s fierce reputation as a “racist terrorist” organization, the KKK is in bad shape. It has less credibility than the Westboro Baptist Church. The custom of wearing bedsheets makes them the easy target for jokes. The Anti-Defamation League and Southern Poverty Law Center say the membership of the KKK is dwindling.

A good argument could be made that anonymous publicity is helping the KKK. It makes bedsheets look dangerous. While the three digital stooges of anonymous/facebook/twitter are focused on bedsheets, more dangerous white (and other color) hate groups are operating in darkness. With people fascinated with who is under the bedsheets, people that can do damage are buying ammunition, and buying elections. Pictures today are from The Library of Congress.

There was a video posted last week. It featured a dialog between Glenn Loury and John McWhorter. Their discussions are frustrating for people who like to multitask. You inevitably hear something interesting, and need to go back and make a video clip.

This conversation has some amusing technical issues. “Because of technical problems, Glenn’s video image is frozen and his audio occasionally sounds like it is “fast forwarding” in the middle third of the conversation. We apologize.” At one point, Dr. Loury spews out some gibberish, and Dr. McWhorter notes “you said it much better than I could.”

One commenter notes “This technical problem brought a smile to my face at the moment when Glenn says, “If [Ta-Nehisi Coates] were here, I think what he might say is XKQOWDQ. Dr. Loury says that Mr. Coates has been invited to appear on “The Glenn Show” many times.

Frozen faced Dr. Loury makes a point about libruls. (spell check suggestion: Libras) He says the “patronizing liberal” folks accept anything certain POC say without scrutiny. SJW are more interested in signalling support of a cause, than in critical examination of the issues. PG agrees enthusiastically.

It was a busy video week for Dr. Loury. He had a conversation about the “meaning of life” with Robert Wright. Dr. Loury recalls the funeral of a friend who died horribly. Many of the people present said that it was a happy time, because the young lady was in heaven.

PG has long been appalled by the Christian obsession with life after death. While those ideas may bring comfort to believers, they can be infuriating to grieving people. It was interesting to hear from another man with a similar outlook. Pictures today are from The Library of Congress.

PG was reading facebook, minding his own business, when he saw the splashy title White Liberals Have White Privilege Too!. There is something about online discussions about privilege that make well meaning people want to type a lot of words into little boxes. PG usually avoids such a conversation, as if it were an amway pitch, but made an exception this ill fated afternoon.

The seminal article was written in 2007, and mentioned the media controversy of the day. It seemed as though Joe Biden said
“I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean and a nice-looking guy … I mean, that’s a storybook, man.” Mr. Biden is currently the Vice President, serving under the FMAA.
There was a link to Black People Love Us!, which tells the story of Sally and Johnny…
“We are well-liked by Black people so we’re psyched (since lots of Black people don’t like lots of White people!)” The fun starts when someone quotes a letter to BPLU.
“I swear, if one more white person says that they want to touch my hair, I am gonna puck a f*ckin mousetrap in it so their f*ckin hand gets caught in it. anyways… GET WITH THE PROGRAM! Have any of you ever heard of sarcasm? Irony? Satires? Canterbury Tales? Shakespeare’s “As You Like it” and “Much Ado About Nothing?” If some of you would actually get your heads out of your asses for one second and read a f*cking book or get educated, you will see that this website is NOT trying to break down PEOPLE, but break down BARRIERS and erase STEREOTYPES…With much love for Sally and Johnny… A Black University of Michigan Student with nappy-ass hair”.

The resulting visual ruined the day for PG. BUMS should keep their pants on, and not burden the world with the sight of nappy hair on BUMS posterior. The same thing goes for any asian, latino, caucasian, native american, or zorlack with this problem.

Part of the problem with the Social Justice Jihad is the tsunami of rhetoric. Millions of words come out every day, often with great anger, passion, and volume. If you doubt the truth of anything you hear, you run the risk of being called (cue dramatic music) racist. The simple truth is that a lot of what is said is simply not true. When you ask someone for documentation for their claims, the fun begins.

@THEAlleyeceeing Same people that said victims of police violence should’ve just respected the law are calling #KimDavis the new MLK.
chamblee54 @THEAlleyeceeing @fieldnegro
Do you have links showing one person having these two opinions?
@THEAlleyeceeing @chamblee54 @fieldnegro Huckabee Cruz should I type it for you as well?
chamblee54 @THEAlleyeceeing @fieldnegro
i asked for links you know, documented evidence rather than just you heard it
@THEAlleyeceeing @chamblee54
you could have googled it by now instead of still expecting me to do your work.
chamblee54 @THEAlleyeceeing i did google the last part, the only one saying that is Rick Santorum-you were the one speaking without evidence or backup

The tweeter who started this is THE CONNET @THEAlleyeceeing. The profile says “Social Media Assassins Guild, Assassins Embassy.” There is a link, TheConnet.wix.com. When you click on the link, you get this message: “We Looked Everywhere For This Page! (Error 404) But maybe we can still help you find what you’re looking for.”

When you google the phrase “calling #KimDavis the new MLK,” you find an article, Santorum Compares Kim Davis’ Jailing to Martin Luther King’s. The former senator, aka frothy mix, was on a radio show. After praising Kim Davis, Mr. Santorum noted that “Martin Luther King went to jail because he didn’t follow the law.” Is this calling Kim Davis the new MLK? Some say it does, while others disagree. What did “Huckabee Cruz” say? Who knows?

Later in the interview, Mr. Santorum said the Iran Nuclear Deal was “The greatest betrayal … in the history of our country.” A quick google search for “victims of police violence should’ve just respected the law Rick Santorum” did not yield any results. Google corrected the spelling of respect.

When you say something online, you should show where you got your information. Memes, and twitter, are not conducive to backing up your rhetoric. When people get mad when you ask them for documentation, that is an indication that they don’t know what they are talking about. This reckless dissemination of bogus information is a serious problem for the social justice jihad. Just because you talk loud does not mean you are telling the truth.

Measuring Racism

Posted in Library of Congress, Race by chamblee54 on September 13, 2015

PG hears the word “racist” tossed casually so much, he suspects it has lost it’s meaning. Dictionary definitions are of little use. The meaning of the word depends on who is saying it.

The modest suggestion here is for a seven point scale to measure racism. Zero would be totally colorblind, and six would be metaphysical hate. For the sake of simplicity, this scale, in the beginning, will only apply to white-black relations in the United States.

The model for this is the Kinsey scale. In his books on human sexuality, Dr. Kinsey described a seven point scale. Zero was totally heterosexual, and six was totally homosexual.

PG does not have a clue how to write a test for this scale, or how to score this test. White people see racism differently than black people. White people are affected by racism in different ways than black people. Different cultures view racism in different ways.

How would PG score on this scale? He has black friends and black enemies. Certain parts of black culture are enjoyable, and certain parts make him want to turn the radio off.

PG does not like people that do not like PG. When it is us against them, you need to remember which one you are. How does this register on this racism scale? It depends on who does the judging.

This is a repost. Pictures are from The Library of Congress.

Ray Lewis used to play pro football. Wednesday, he appeared at a “public safety summit” in Newark NJ. Mr. Lewis said “”Remove the word black and say ‘lives matter,’Stop sending mothers back home empty. You can never replace a mother’s child. If we want black lives matter, let’s make it matter to us. That’s the new call.”

Twitter nation was not amused. #Raylewis was a trending subject for a day or so, until the latest hashtag hatching. Tweet superstar Deray Mckesson led the charge. “Who can call Ray Lewis and let him know that “all lives matter” ain’t it? Because this is the only tweet I’ve got for him tonight.”

Many commenters said that Mr. Lewis had killed someone, and should not be discussing whether lives matter. They were referring to an incident in Buckhead, after the 2000 Super Bowl. If you read beyond the headline, you learn that Mr. Lewis almost certainly did not kill the young men. Those calling Mr. Lewis a murderer probably don’t read past the first sentence of his quote.

Many say the City of Atlanta was too hasty in charging Mr. Lewis with the murder. The prospect of a high profile prosecution was enchanting to the local criminal justice establishment. The case quickly fell apart during the trial. Mr. Lewis accepted a plea bargain for lesser charges. This is a common problem, when you allow justice to become a popularity contest.

There is one tweet that stands out. @Delo_Taylor “No @raylewis I will not remove my blackness to appease white supremacy. So disappointed right now. #BlackLivesMatter” Another has been deleted, but lives on nonetheless. “I cant. No patience for coonery.”

It should not be surprising that people say foolish things on twitter. Nor should it be noteworthy for politicians. Newark Mayor Ras Baraka said “People want to talk about violence without talking about inequality because they benefit from inequality,” Pictures today are from “The Special Collections and Archives, Georgia State University Library”.

Yesterday was #transliberationtuesday‬. Rallies were held in major cities to express concern over the trans women, of color, who have been murdered in 2015. Today, a list of names was published.

Elisha Walker, Penny Proud, Lamia Beard, Mercedes Williamson, Ty Underwood, Kandis Capri, Yazmin Payne, Amber Monroe, Taja Gabrielle DeJesus, London Chanel, Ashton O’Hara, India Clarke, Shade Schuler, Tamara Dominquez, Papi Edwards, Keysha Blige.

A list of names does not say much, and tends to dehumanize the deceased. If you look at the stories of these sixteen people, you learn a few things. It is not known why these murders are happening. Every case is different. The conclusions taken below are based on rather shallow research. Police may have suspects in some of the cases, where initial reports say nobody knew who did it. None of the sixteen transwomen of color were killed by a police officer.

There is no suspect in eight of the killings. Again, this is based on the reports turned up by Google, and could have changed. These are the cases with no suspect. Penny Proud, Lamia Beard, Kandis Capri, Amber Monroe, Shade Schuler, Tamara Dominquez, Keysha Blige, and Taja Gabrielle DeJesus. In the case of Miss DeJesus, witnesses report that the killer was a black man. The stabbing took place on McKinnon Avenue, in the Bayview district of San Francisco CA.

In eight cases, there is a named suspect. Seven of the eight are black men. The eighth is Josh Brandon Vallum, suspected in the murder of Mercedes Williamson. “The Herald reports Josh Vallum is a longtime member of the Latin Kings street gang.”

Here are the other seven trans woman, followed by the name of the man accused of the crime. Elisha Walker, Angel Dejesus Arias ~ Ty Underwood, Carlton Ray Champion ~ Yazmin Payne, Ezekiel Dear (known on myspace as “Strength of God”) ~ London Chanel, Raheam Felton ~ Ashton O’Hara, Larry Gaulding ~ India Clarke, Keith Gaillard ~ Papi Edwards, Henry Richard Gleaves II.

Two of the trans women were believed to be in a relationship with their killer. These pairings are Ty Underwood/ Carlton Ray Champion, and Yazmin Payne/ Ezekiel Dear.

Two of the killings took place in Detroit MI. “Federal authorities are investigating the slayings of two transgender women recently found near one of Detroit’s red-light districts as possible hate crimes, local reports said. … The bodies of Ashton O’Hara, 25, and Amber Monroe, 20, were found only weeks apart at the city’s Palmer Park, an area plagued by LGBT violence.” Another, Tamara Dominquez, was in Kansas City MO. Comments suggest that she was in an area known for prostitution.

Conservative Liberal Racist

Posted in Library of Congress, Politics, Race by chamblee54 on August 23, 2015

The management of this blog is not responsible for brain damage incurred while reading this post. If you cant take the heat, get out of the kitchen. Those threatened by this discussion, or not interested, are encouraged to skip over the text, and look at the pictures. These images, of Union Soldiers of the War Between the States, are from The Library of Congress. This is a repost.

There is a meme, with the text a conservative is a liberal who has been labeled a racist. A few comments followed publication. Someone was paying attention. Uhm…WTF?! ~ its a long story ~ All three labels are useless and misleading. I try not to let the labels of others describe me, but sometimes it happens. It is a bit of poetic license.

The words liberal and conservative are useless. When he started to make the comment, PG intended to refer to those two expressions. Then he started to type. The realization hit … the word racist was just as obsolete as liberal and conservative, and probably misused more often.

The next day at work, PG began to think. If you saw a mushroom cloud rising over Jimmy Carter Boulevard, that is what you saw. Random thoughts began to emerge.

A- The popularity of con, lib, and rac, derive from America’s blind allegiance to the belief paradigm The general thought is that what you believe is more important than what you do. The dominant religion in America is Jesus Worship, which is based on beliefs rather than practices. While America is not officially a Christian country, their thought processes dominate the way things work here.

B- The belief paradigm filters down to the popularity of silly labels. We have people who claim to be small government conservatives, and who support sending 200k troops to a war eight time zone away. You can treat your black neighbors with kindness and grace, but if you say the wrong things on facebook you are considered a racist. It is a funny system.

C- Conservatives use liberal as an insult. Liberals use racist as an insult.

D- No one is certain what the words conservative, liberal, and racist mean. You should beware of anyone who claims to be certain of what these labels represent.

The Gift Of Cultural Appropriation

There is a tasteful video on the innertubes today, WTF is Cultural Appropriation. This is not about WTF Podcast. Hopefully Marc Maron will not wear his hair in dreadlocks. The video shows a black man, jumping around in front of the camera, sharing his ideas about cultural appropriation.

Perhaps we should summarize what ‏@the1janitor has to say. He does not give a shit what people do with their hair. (Does he gift wrap the shit when he does give it?) T1J is not concerned over whether Iggy Azalea sings rap songs. Most culture today is a mix of influences, and T1J is cool with that. This chill does not extend to a pro football team in Hyattsville MD, whose nickname rhymes with bed sins. T1J, aka Kevin Peterson, does not think that is appropriate.

T1J wears dreadlocks. Many Amerikans see this hairstyle as connected to the Rastafarians in Jamaica. T1J is not a rasta, but is not accused of any appropriative wrongdoing by wearing his hair in dreadlocks. It seems the reason for this acceptance is his African American origin.

This is similar to the situation with BHO. The half white POTUS was raised by white people in Hawaii and Indonesia. And yet, because he has dark skin, BHO is unquestioningly accepted as a black man. The POTUS uses the style of black culture that he learned as an adult. When a white fool shoots up a black church, BHO goes to a funeral, sings “Amazing Grace,” and is praised.

Many of these cultural and racial debates are very shallow. Judgements are made on outside appearances, rather than the real person under the skin. The dream of people not “judged by the color of their skin but by the content of their character” has turned into a nightmare of petty wrangling over white privilege and cultural appropriation.

So much for content. What caught PG’s eye was the background. There is a Crimson Tide poster on the wall, behind the speaker, that seemed familiar. PG has seen T1J before, in a video titled Why I Disagree With Morgan Freeman. T1J says we need to talk about racism, then talk some more, and then talk more after that. The word listen is not used as often.

The University of Alabama football team poster is an ironic touch. NCAA football teams are highly exploitative of young people. The young men who play work long hours for their education. Many of the football players are rushed through school, taking easy classes so they will be eligible to play. Many of these young men will suffer crippling injuries playing a contact sport. Meanwhile, these football programs are hugely profitable for the institution, especially at a football factory like the University of Alabama. Pictures today are from The Library of Congress. The men in the seven photographs were members of The Tuskegee Airmen
