You also imply, without evidence, that the article is motivated by Cooper’s criticism of Israel. If you took 10 seconds to search Mother Jones, you’d find that they’re more significant critics of Israel than Cooper himself. Why is your first thought to blame Israel (The Jews?) without any information suggesting that to be the case? Some of the points that you don’t address (you don’t address any points): Do you think it’s acceptable to use a Holocaust denier like Irving as a source for WW2 history? Do you think his clear association with neo-Nazis (the mug, see end of this post, the podcast appearances, etc, described in the article) is acceptable? The article gives evidence that Cooper intentionally distorted history to downplay Hitler’s responsibility for Kristallnacht, and to imply that the Holocaust and mass murder of POWs was all forced by lack of food, rather than genocidal intent. I suppose they could’ve given more info about the “guten morgen” tweet, but it’s pretty easy to find yourself. And the website the Mug is from.
