How Am I Doing Mama?
November 17, 1963, Liza Minnelli was on “The Judy Garland Show”. The former Frances Gumm was looking rusty from years of hard living. Five days later, President Kennedy made a trip to Dallas. Six years later, Judy Garland left the building. Liza Minelli is still with us, fifty years later. She has been every bit as wild as her mother, but lived to see another day. Pictures are from The Library of Congress.

I always enjoyed watching the Judy Garland show with my mom – those were some hard lived years played out in front of America’s audiences.
nicely done – could you do a hyperlink back to trifecta?
thanks for joining us again this week.
1- You just dated yourself.
2- The prompt word, rusty, is linked to Trifecta.
I enjoyed this as always. Your work is so refreshingly unique.
I learned what a hyperlink was today. Good pictures. I could write a whole blog post about Judy Garland. I liked the fact that she never made light of the “Wizard of Oz”. She never knocked her start.
Very nice! I am a Judy Garland fan as well.
I always feel melancholy when I look at photos of people who have long since passed away…and of course, I feel melancholy anytime I see anything about Judy Garland. I like the way you structured your prose about Liza “…lived to see another day.” Liza is indeed a survivor, in so many ways.
Uniquely done, as always :)))
