The r-word is a dandy distraction. Not that I would correct Mary’s babydaddy, but I would be the words “perceived as” in front of the r-word. Not everyone considers stupid tweet to be worthy of the r-slur. ~ Writing poetry is neither a game nor a chore, it is rather the art of choosing the right words and to assemble them correctly and musically. We ought to read and write and not the contrary. ~ @jordanbpeterson One more week to get something from my Rule 7 Collection from @teespring #12rulesforlife ~ Did you ever think we would be having serious discussions about “The President’s tweets”? ~ I was mostly commenting about the word tweet. Fifteen years ago, a tweet was a useless noise from a bird. I admit, I follow @realdonaldtrump. I like getting an unfiltered view of his madness. With previous world leaders, you had to wait on the press to report on their idiocy. Now, you can see it direct from the source, in real time. ~ While we are salivating about Dayton and El Paso and @realDonaldTrump , how many one on one killings have we had in the same time period? ~ Sun Ra Plays a Music Therapy Gig at a Mental Hospital; Inspires Patient to Talk for the First Time in Years ~ The Therapeutic Benefits of Ambient Music: Science Shows How It Eases Chronic Anxiety, Physical Pain, and ICU-Related Trauma Sixty years ago, when (Dr. Oliver) Sacks was still in medical school, avant-garde jazz bandleader Sun Ra had a very Sacks-like experience when he played for an audience of patients in a mental hospital, and inspired a catatonic woman who hadn’t spoken for years to stand up and say ‘Do you call that music?’” ~ story source ~ iow, if you support a politician, you deserve to be physically assaulted. That is incredibly fucked up. ~ pictures for this psycho-killer free recollection of last week are from The Library of Congress. ~ selah

This can not be real right now. I am a guest too right. #racist ~ If you don’t have a type, do you have a hand written? ~ Not many people know this, but youtube has transcripts. To see them, click on the three dots below the screen. Unfortunately, they sometimes get things wrong. In a recent episode of bloggingheads.tv, Glenn Loury said “Kaepernick wants to take the knee et cetera you could go on see what I’m getting at.” The transcript said “Kapernick wants to take the neon love Ted said I could go on you see what I’m getting at.” ~ “I often think it’s a silly question when you ask me if is trump a racist I often think it’s like almost like trying to decide whether or not somebody is a terrorist or something like that because it’s like we have this moral standard and we’re not going to assign and we’re gonna judge people who’s the racist who’s not a racist” ~ BM are great initials for him. At least it is a stage name for Barry Alan Pincus. For Bette MIdler, it is her birth name, with no middle name. ~ I think this may be more about the changing ph of the oceans. The oceans have been absorbing excess CO2, and they are becoming more alkaline. This has serious implications for the food chain. Climate change may be the least of our worries. ~ I am not a scientist, but I think the water is becoming more alkaline. Acidification is a better sounding word, though. We are talking about delicate balances here. The turning point for CO2 in the atmosphere is 350 parts per million. This is 0.00035‬. These balances have evolved over 4 billion years. We have done this damage in the last 200 years. 200 compares to 4bn like one minute compares to 35 years. ~ mi cuerpo es como una iglesia catolica Lleno de pan, vino y culpa ~ pictures posted with reckless intent and shameless singularity are from The Library of Congress. On a more or less serious note: Folks…please don’t flush your drugs m’kay. When you send something down the sewer pipe it ends up in our retention ponds for processing before it is sent down stream. Now our sewer guys take great pride in releasing water that is cleaner than what is in the creek, but they are not really prepared for meth. Ducks, Geese, and other fowl frequent our treatment ponds and we shudder to think what one all hyped up on meth would do. Furthermore, if it made it far enough we could create meth-gators in Shoal Creek and the Tennessee River down in North Alabama. They’ve had enough methed up animals the past few weeks without our help. So, if you need to dispose of your drugs just give us a call and we will make sure they are disposed of in the proper way. ~ Mehdi Hasan AOC was born in the Bronx; Ayanna Pressley in Cincinnati; Rashida Tlaib in Detroit. Your regular reminder that the president of the United States is not just a brazen racist but the laziest and most unoriginal (‘go back to where you came from’) of racists ~ @MittRomney The president’s comments were destructive, demeaning, and disunifying. The President of the United States has a unique and noble calling to unite the American people – of all different races, colors, and national origins. In that respect, the president failed badly. ~ .@RashidaTlaib is going back where they came from an option for your parents? ~ @realDonaldTrump Those Tweets were NOT Racist. I don’t have a Racist bone in my body! The so-called vote to be taken is a Democrat con game. Republicans should not show “weakness” and fall into their trap. This should be a vote on the filthy language, statements and lies told by the Democrat….. ~ The Georgia Primary is March 24. On this day, you can cast a SECRET BALLOT for one of the contenders. Until March 24, you are not required to pay attention, or worry, about the Democrat clown car. ~ @AndrewFeinberg JUST NOW: I asked @KellyannePolls, who’d just said @realDonaldTrump was not telling Omar/Tlaib/Pressley/AOC to go back to Somalia/Gaza/Puerto Rico/etc, which countries he was referring to. She responded by asking me where my ancestors came from, thereby confirming what he meant ~ “booing is a bit tacky don’t you think” Dick Cavett, after an appearance by Governor Ronald Reagan, on The Dick Cavett Show. ~ The basic dimension is 1:1.612. This is an eccentric number like pi, that can be calculated forever. There are tons of mathematical qualities, which are mostly over my head. This is also known as the Fibonacci series of numbers.. My blog has 720 pixel columns. The golden rectangle for this is 720×447. On my graphic poems, all the panels are 720×447. If you look around, you will see this rectangle everywhere. Anyway… that sketch is hilarious! ~ @chescaleigh welcome to my life lol and thank you! ~ @chamblee54 to the lady who blocked me on twitter? yes ~ @TheKevinAllison Yeah, she should. You’re an asshole. ~ @chamblee54 @chescaleigh likes to ruffle feathers, and doesn’t care if feelings get hurt… a bully is someone who can dish it out, but can’t take it ~ @chamblee54 she likes to say that intentions don’t count, but results are what matters… i asked her about #colinkaepernick his intention was to protest racism, the result was offending people …. she did not like that ~ @AdamSacks I don’t know dude, sounds like she’s already in your head. ~ @chamblee54 I haven’t thought about her in ages, until I saw this video on twitter… bless her heart ~ pictures today are from The Library of Congress. It is eerie to have Mr. Perot meet his maker when Slick Willie may be getting in more trouble. ~ This is another manufactured controversy. What’s Wrong With Palestinian Surrender? “Yet a national suicide of the Palestinians’ current political and cultural ethos is precisely what is needed for peace.” ~ Actually, Ronnie (or government actors while he was POTUS) sold weapons to Iran, with Israel as the middle man. Ronnie also sold chemical weapons to Iraq … Iraq and Iran were in a gruesome war at the time. Ronnie took the profits from those deals to buy weapons for terrorists in Central America. Ronnie used drug runners to transport those weapons to Central America. The drug runner planes were not empty when they returned to the USA. ~ “One day he (President Trump) says something, another day he says something, but I think (there’s a) lack of moral principle,” the Dalai Lama told the BBC.” I disagree. Mr. Trump has a lack of moral interest. ~ Marsha Johnson did not show up at Stonewall until the riot was in full swing. “Marsha: The way I winded up being at Stonewall that night, I was having a party uptown. And we were all out there and Miss Sylvia Rivera and them were over in the park having a cocktail. I was uptown and I didn’t get downtown until about two o’clock, because when I got downtown the place was already on fire. And it was a raid already. The riots had already started. And they said the police went in there and set the place on fire. They said the police set it on fire because they originally wanted the Stonewall to close, so they had several raids. And there was this, uh, Tiffany and, oh, this other drag queen that used to work there in the coat check room and then they had all these bartenders. And the night before the Stonewall riots started, before they closed the bar, we were all there and we all had to line up against the wall and they was all searching us.” ~ well you joke but I think if maybe if you learn to drink it responsibly you know we adults drink throughout the day and then just sort of go to bed at a reasonable hour because we’re tired if they learn to do that you know maybe this this would be a slightly less bad thing ~ @gaywonk The worst part of Pride month is realizing how many of your new gay friends would’ve criticized the Stonewall riots for not being “strategic.” ~ There’s no use arguing with Andrew Sullivan gays you just have to drag them kicking and screaming into a better future. ~ Don’t let your queer rage be shaken by white gays lecturing about “tactics” or “respectability.” They were wrong yesterday, they’re wrong today, they’ll be wrong tomorrow. And eventually, they’ll be toasting you at a fancy HRC gala, swearing they were behind you the whole time. ~ Donald Trump Jr. shared a racist tweet about Kamala Harris and then deleted it after it went viral, fanning the flames of a new ‘birther’ conspiracy ~ @ali Kamala Harris is *not* an American Black. She is half Indian and half Jamaican. I’m so sick of people robbing American Blacks (like myself) of our history. It’s disgusting. Now using it for debate time at #DemDebate2? The man said his wife would have the same thing. ~ Tennessee: xmx “Gayberry, USA” population: 150? ona fides: Several rural communes make up the country’s largest, oldest LGBTQIA+ planned community, nestled in the hills of middle Tennessee. As documented by the New York Times Magazine in 2015, xmx is a queer safe space started in the late ‘70s by Radical Faeries founder Harry Hay that still operates according to the communal ethos of the counterculture that birthed it. Aside from landmarks with names like Sex Change Ridge and a hiking trail called the Fruit Loop, commune residents are said to lead a fairly traditional back-to-the-land lifestyle, keeping goats and tending gardens and making decisions by consensus. “It’s a major settlement of LGBT folks in extremely rural Cannon County,” says Chris Sanders, executive director of the Tennessee Equality Project. “It was a way to affirm gay men at first, but now it’s open to everyone.” ~ Linguistically correct Simon Hoggart (Changing the gender agenda) asks who decides whether words like “cisgender” should enter the language. I do! English is scandalously lacking in politically and linguistically correct antonyms of this sort. The Queen can create the Duchess of Cambridge, so surely I can create the much-needed expressions “cisgress” (be a good boy), “cisvestite” (bloke wearing trousers), “cisaction” (no deal), and “cisom” (something that isn’t a lintel). Anyone who doesn’t disagree is a transsy. ~@RachelADolezal Watch my YouTube tutorial on this hairstyle and you’ll see ALL my edges. They’ve been shown… ~ I thought you meant Tom Watson. He was a gnarly character, though not definitely a klansman. His statue was on the west side of the capitol. This was the side where rallies were held. It appealed to my sense of the absurd to have a green statue, of a terrible man, supervising the gatherings there. ~ That is where I first heard the word morphodite. It became a favorite word of mine. Much later, I attended a lecture by Harry Hay at GSU. Turns out morphodite is what sailers in New Orleans called hookers of uncertain gender. @chamblee54 @dandrezner @staceyabrams is the black Trump. She is a demagogue. She is good at getting press attention, getting mileage out of misleading issues why would @natsecHeather fall for her? ~ @HolocaustMuseum Karl Gorath was just 26 when his jealous lover denounced him as a gay man. He spent years in the concentration camp system until he was liberated from Auschwitz in 1945. But after liberation, he faced another set of difficulties. 1/5 West Germany used the Nazi version of Paragraph 175, the law criminalizing homosexuality, for decades after the war. Under that law, Karl was arrested again in the 1950s. 2/5 At his trial, Karl realized that he recognized the judge. The judge sentencing him to jail that day was the same man who had sent him to a concentration camp in the 1930s, for the same “crime.” 3/5 Karl made several attempts to claim reparations after the war, as many survivors of Nazi persecution did. He was denied. According to officials, he was not eligible because his camp records showed that he was a Paragraph 175 prisoner. 4/5 He became one of the first gay survivors of the concentration camp system to publicly tell his story. He died in 2003 without having received reparations for his suffering under the Nazis. 5/5 ~ How to Get Over the Anxiety of Public Speaking?: Watch the Stanford Video, “Think Fast, Talk Smart,” Viewed Already 15 Million Times ~ I don’t trust people that say I don’t trust people that ___. ~ trash talking resting bitch face, aka negative attitude, is an acceptable form of prejudice ~ In a conversation earlier today, a friend suggested I celebrate Donald Trump’s birthday by taking a dump. I have long heard that the radical adjective is as much a marketing device as anything else. Supposedly, there were competing groups of faeries. One group literally said, we will call our group radical faeries, so we can tell it apart from your group of faeries. Does anyone know any more about this? The R word is a splendid marketing device, and creates some wonderful acronyms. However, if we are going to spend time, and energy, fussing about whether or not something is *radical*, then maybe it is time to retire the R word. ~ If you are drowning in a glass of water, does it matter if it is half empty or half full? ~ @conor64 I am explicitly telling you that your Tweet was libelous, that you should remove it, and that I will at the very least continue drawing attention to your false, defamatory statement, madenwith reckless disregard for facts, until you delete it. You’ll here from me next by email. @JonathanLKrohn Jesus Christ, dude. Maybe you should step away from the computer. Or, indeed, the profession of journalism. ~Stacey Abrams urges Hollywood to ‘#StayAndFight’ in Georgia instead of boycotting over abortion law ~ @MrChurchGuy I guess it makes sense for worship leaders to wear jeans. In the Bible, the musicians at the Temple were all in the tribe of Levi’s. ~ @J_D_Landis A difficult problem facing the non-violent is how to get rid of the violent without resorting to violence. ~ Once, there was a small town. They had a baptist church, and a methodist church. There were not enough people to have two churches. They decided to combine them, and call it the christian church. One old man was not pleased. “I was born a baptist, I was raised a baptist, and you are never going to make a christian out of me.” ~ During a service at an old synagogue in Eastern Europe, when a particular prayer was said, half the congregants stood up and half remained sitting. The half that was seated would yell at those standing to sit down, and the ones standing yelled at the ones sitting to stand up. The new rabbi, learned as he was in the Law and commentaries, didn’t know what to do. His congregation suggested that he consult a 98-year-old man who was one of the original founders of their shul, but now was bedridden in a nursing home. The rabbi hoped the elderly man would be able to tell him what the actual tradition was, so he went to the nursing home with a representative of each faction of the congregation. ~ The one whose followers stood during the prayer asked the old man, “Is the tradition to stand during this prayer?” The old man answered, “No, that is not the tradition.” The one whose followers sat said, “Then the tradition is to sit!” The old man answered, “No, that is not the tradition.” Then the rabbi desperately pleaded to the old man, “But the congregants fight all the time, yelling at each other about whether they should sit or stand!” The old man interrupted, exclaiming, “Ah yes! THAT is the tradition!” ~ I just heard the quote, “be curious not judgmental” I wondered what the context was. According to wikiquotes, #waltwhitman never said that in print @QuoteResearch ~ “O Magnet South” Specimen Days “Ethiopia Saluting the Colors” “The Wound Dresser,” ~ Proverbs 26:17 He that passeth by, and meddleth with strife belonging not to him, is like one that taketh a dog by the ears. ~ pictures today are from The Library of Congress. ~ selah

I feel the opposite. I admire the work of Mr. Wiesel. I have a lot of problems with this idea. When you deal in absolutes, it is impossible not to get caught in contradictions. There is the matter of being manipulated into action on an issue you don’t know enough about. There is the matter of being lied to. There is the matter of doing more harm than good, by taking ineffective or counterproductive action. I have many, many issue with that type of thinking. ~ White Supremacists Chant ‘Six Million More’ After Crashing Holocaust Remembrance Day Event In Arkansas ~ She starts the story by explaining that she was seeing a guy and she was at his house when she realized she had to use the bathroom. Okay, no big deal, she’ll just use the bathroom downstairs. ~ The thing is, she had to poop. And you know how it’s like somehow embarrassing for women to admit we poop? Like, somehow we are so special that our bodies just don’t do anything quite as foul as that? ~ Anyway, she did as nature commanded, and then…holy sh*t, the toilet wouldn’t flush! She didn’t want to tell the guy she’d done a poo, so she picked it up out of the toilet with a piece of paper and put it in the cat litter. Problem solved, right? Um, not exactly. ~ The guy comes downstairs and immediately asks her if she went to the bathroom in the litterbox. She, of course, feigned ignorance and said, “no, your cat must have done it.” At which point he reveals…his cat has been dead for weeks. ~ @chamblee54 you copied me into a odoriferous thread on feminine hygiene #ThenIBlockedYou ~ “Snellville, where everybody is proud to be somebody,” is the new slogan that was presented at Monday evening’s council meeting. “Snellville, where everybody is somebody, is, of course, the slogan that was established about 30 years ago and is familiar worldwide.” This motto was copied by Hico TX. ~ @chamblee54 “I read poetry to save time.” Marilyn Monroe @QuoteResearch .@ConnerHabib This is such a fun quote, Does anyone have a source? Blase Cupich about the burning of a blasphemous rainbow flag … Father Paul Kalchik was pastor of Resurrection parish in the archdiocese of Chicago. A previous pastor, Fr. Daniel Montalbano, was a known homosexual who was found dead in the rectory while attached to a masturbation machine in 1995. ~ TWIT @TheWeekInTrump @benshapiro has a voice only print media could love. ~ #benshapirosvoice ~ I thought the preferred term for indigenous communities was nation. These are all english terms, invented by europeans. Is it privilege for PWOC to fuss about this matter? I think the best term to use would be the name of the nation involved. I do prefer indigenous to native american. ~ “A stone’s origins are often elusive. Over 90 percent of diamonds imported to the United States now pass through Forty-Seventh, and as of 2003, according to a piece of Bush-era legislation known as the Kimberley Process, those stones are supposed to be conflict-free. But when a diamond changes hands eight to ten times on the journey from gem mine to display case, this is next to impossible to guarantee. Consumers seeking absolute reassurance are probably best off dealing in the District’s antiques or buying synthetics, though even this can lead to paradox: some argue that in places like the Congo—where entire communities depend on revenue from certified mines, diamond boycotts, or shifts to synthetic stones—this only makes things worse. To try on a ring is to be reminded of one’s complicity. Beauty is often linked to violence in some way.” ~ this poem was performed at the artsXchange open mic:
