I have mixed feelings about them. Now,as for the option of facebook alternatives, I don’t know. An email list is fairly low maintenance. Very few of our events require an RSVP. We could go that way, or we could go to telephone based communication. That would cover the events. Now, as far as the group discussions go, I say good riddance. Also, are these donations going to be verified by a reputable accounting firm? It would be real easy for the t shirt company (whose vulgar name I would rather not repeat) to make fake payments.
