Weird Part One
Back when this blog was on blogspot, the motto was a quote from Hunter S. Thompson. “When the going gets wierd, the wierd turn pro”. One day, there was a comment, to the effect that the proper spelling of wierd was weird. When you are quoting Hunter S. Thompson, should you be surprised that you spell weird wrong? (The spell check suggestions were wider, wield, wired)
This fine spring morning, there is a feature, on another blog, about the weird of the king’s english. Through the miracle of copy paste, we now present part one, between pictures from the Library of Congress. We will save Part Two for a dry day.
