PG received this email today. He has not started to write in the first person. The toilet paper tea party patriots are a source of amusement to PG.
Today my girlfriend tried to go to a town hall meeting to hear about and participate in the health care debate in Monroe, GA. Her US Rep. John Linder was slated to be there. Unfortunately, the meeting was canceled at the last minute literally due to the high emotions of organized group members.
One of them is the Tea Party Patriots. They have one purpose: to drown out anyone who is in favor of health care reform and to demonize government in general and more specifically anything that has the word DEMOCRATS associated with it.
I don’t care what side you are on over this huge issue. I do care that there is an element in our society that is doing exactly what they accuse our government of doing, running over people in the name of their agenda.
Take a look at the tea party link. And do some original agenda-neutral research to come to your conclusions and let your US Rep. and Senators know your position.
As an American I am deeply embarrassed by the behavior of this kind of group and uncertain whether saner voices will take the time to participate as citizens. Be a Patriot.

Although President Obama is well aware of President Clinton’s attempt at this honorable and very desirable goal of Universal Health Care for American Citizens, Obama failed to deliver what would be preventative information in rolling out a full proposal with accurate cost information. For this oversight I place blame for the current brouhaha squarely upon his shoulders. I do understand how this could be a measured effort to appear as the cavalry is rushing in to save the day too, based on this consummate politician’s history. Providing real direction to this discussion is an obligation of his office that he has failed to perform at this moment while loosing valuable time defending against the “death panels” propaganda. With Ms. Hitlary Clinton at his side and with her experiences it is even more convincing that the current condition is completely manipulated.
I give Barney Frank hats off and applaud his candor in addressing the ignorance that confronted him by asking, “What planet do you spend most of your time?” and then expressing his completely understood frustration with “I may as well be talking to the dining room table. I’m not going to argue with you.” Concerning the demands from a Lyndon LaRouche inspired confrontational citizen who wouldn’t or apparently couldn’t grasp the concept of Universal Health Care because of the fear that she may loose something in the process. Nothing could be further from the truth.
The current fear mongering, negative propaganda and passionate ignorance passing as thoughtful debate, over Universal Health Care is graphic demonstration of the vast proportions of the Government’s contempt of the American Citizens coupled with the profound ignorance of the population. Lunatic fringes from Lyndon LaRouche inspired “Nazi” screamers to the Cult of Jesus Rightwing Republicanism, Birthers and Socialist-fearing individuals site Universal Health Care as “the demise of the free American.” The characterization of President Barak Obama as Hitler, the Joker or the love child spawn of the two is completely unwarranted unproductive and senselessly juvenile in this essential act to insure every citizen is provided access to health care.
The opportunity is upon us now to re-take our government from the special interests and Wall Street greed to shape a future full of opportunity for all Americans now and those yet to come. We are obligated to get this right the first time and this opportunity may be the birth of a new America of freedom and liberty for all. We cannot falter in our determination to effect these changes and hold our government accountable for it’s actions in the process.
